A quick post about birthdays

So I was getting my student's birthday stuff together for the year and thought I'd share what I do. It's nothing novel, but works for me! I like to get their stuff all together at the beginning of the year so I'm not scrambling to get things on their desk as they walk in the door! Here's my little assembly line..

The bracelets are something new I am trying this year that a colleague suggested to me. I'm just not a birthday crown person.

And the finished product...

I also made my own chair covers last year and they seem to be holding up pretty well. I used felt from Michaels, but I've heard small pillow cases work great too... If you can find them better than I did!

I saw these on Pinterest from Dilly Dabbles recently and think they'll be on my list of things to try for next year. Who doesn't love a crazy straw?
